Systems like Myki, or the Oyster Card system in London worry me. With all
the assurances that a privacy policy make, one really big question is
whether information will be given to the "authorised officer" only on
presentation of a warrant, or without, possibly because the staff don't know
better. Also, stopping data from being personally identifiable is more than
just taking a name off a record. Habits can be expressed in data that allows
identities to be determined.

I think it is a serious issue that needs contemplation. I don't like the
idea of the card becoming something that can be used to get to determine
where someone will be so they can be quietly picked up, or to determine that
someone is being "bad" because they are not where they are expected to be.
It starts looking very Big Brothery
