[pp.int.general] Activities against Torpedo Amendments

Dear friends,

Next Tuesday at 15:30 the European Parliament is going to debate on the
Telecom Package, that includes the Torpedo Ammendments. The goal of our
campaign is to contact the MEPs and convince them to vote against them (the
vote will be in the last week of September).

To do that, we would like to invite you to join the action. How to do it?

- Choose a MEP. Choose one from your country, from the list:

- Write to him/her about the Torpedo Ammendments. You can find a text to
copy&paste in our wiki (only in Spanish so far): http://www.informaticaverd
e.org/wiki/index.php?title=Correos_modelo_Enmiendas_Torpedo

- Edit the MEP list and put your name next to the MEP you have written to.
If you receive an answer, use the wiki to register it.

We keep a "score", which is the vote estimation depending on the answers we
get. We don't have yet enough information, but from the 18 MEPs already
contacted, the score is 12-6 in favor of the ammendments. We need to change
that.

This facebook group is about to reach 100 people. A coordinated action of so
many people can result in a very strong pressure on the MEPs, making them
realize the importance of the issue, and making them consider voting against
these ammendments.

But to achieve this goal, we need you to write to your MEPs.
