| Having the Pirate Parties is a great idea and the Piratenpartei
Deutschland is
| a real Pirate Party, too. Nevertheless we have some serious problems
| (organizationally, programmatically and financially). We can't pretend
| everything is alright and we are one.

| Is there educational material about this in English or German?

I don't know about those two parties, but my attitude has always been
"stop, take a step back, think, apply common sense, and move on, all the
while using lots of communication"

As far as amendments go, I personally don't mind (and actually prefer)
that people submit amendments, with the only requirement being that
they're members in good standing with the party. Submitting an amendment
is not the same as voting. I'd rather have 50 people submitting one idea
each, which we have to weigh in on. At best, the amendment will be an
improvement, at worst it will be rejected, and no change made. There is
nothing to lose, and everything to gain.

Personally, I have no amendments, but then I was in the thick of it
writing this draft. Again, the other point to reiterate is that this
document is meant as a sort of Venn diagram covering all our common
areas. If party A wants something abolished, and B wants it reduced,
then reduced it should B (abolishment is just reducing to 0).

Seriously, we need to just take a breath, step back, and remember this
is not something your party will be held to as hard limits, but a guide
of what ALL parties are aiming for worldwide.
