[pp.int.general] the value of the human rights argument

So you are not afraid that human rights considerations will be used 
*against* PP objectives? I am. Frankly, it not entirely nonsensical to 
advocate mass-surveilance to protect the safety of people against terrorist 
and other threats. The unpleasant feeling of being watched constantly (the 
privacy argument) competes with the pleasant feeling of increased "public 
safety". Ask older people, and women how they feel on the street, especially 
at night!

Well, I have been told that the guard who watch the camera images on TV 
screens typically are males who zoom in to attractive girls ... else it is 
not a pleasure to watch screens all night ...
