Hi,

A short update from the conference.

Rick Falkvinge has been blogging a bit from the event:
http://english.rickfalkvinge.se/ , as of now he's covered the country
presentations in the morning, so I won't go into those.

Apart from the country presentations there was a short presentation
about European youth organizations by the Swedish pirate party youth
organization (Ung Pirat). If we can start up youth organizations in
at least 6 European countries, the EU will participate in financing a
youth convention. Ung Pirat plans to host one in 2010.

There was some discussion on the elections, what to do if/once
different countries get elected (I was attending a Finnish Pirate
Party meeting during that time, so can't comment on it).

Afterwards there was some more general discussion on the role of the
PPI. The consensus seemed to be that it's a place to exchange
experiences, ask and give support, and find people to work on common
projects on a voluntary basis - but it can not have any formal power
over the national parties.

The manifesto will be discussed tomorrow, along with any other issues.
