The German party once set up a Wiki at
I guess we could start now right there and if anyone insists on that it
might be moved to PPI server someday.
I have a suggestion. If there is going to be a PPI conference, let's pu=
t
up a wiki page (or several) for the planning - that way the details and
ideas are not lost to the mailing list archive. And also, let's agree t=
hat
the conference will create minutes of the meeting and the decisions and
put them to the wiki.

It's about time we start working in ways that allows new comers to find=
ideas and things previously discussed and decided. After all, you can't=
fault people for discussing the same things again and again, if we never
gather up the old ideas into a format that a new comer can access. (And
no, requiring someone to go through an entire email archive and somehow
'know' what was discussed in a face to face meeting some years ago =
is not
an acceptable requirement, if we actually mean to get something done).
Their purpose is to discuss the issues that are brought up. I do not
have an archive, because I was never able to attend one (air fair is
expensive from the US). It would be better to hear from the people
that were there. They can tell you what went on better than I can. A
good number of people on this list were at most of the meetings.
As you have a history of PPI meetings, is it too rude to ask what their
purpose is? =A0Perhaps you have an on-line archive of what the PPI meetings=
have done and agreed previously, but if so, I cannot find it...
Another reason 'why not berlin' is =A0simply "Berlin is so 200=
8" In
other words, the meeting cycles between parties, in an attempt to make
it 'local' to each party in turn, and give each one a chance to how=
things off. The PPI meeting was held in Berlin in Jan 08. Before it's<b=
r>
Germany's turn, it will be Austria's again (since they held the
meeting before). The order so far has been Austria, Germany, Sweden,
Finland (with no summer meeting this year, because of the proximity of
the EU elections)

And Brussels is a logical choice anyway, for the first meeting after
the first Pirate Party member is elected to office anywhere, in
Brussels. Has a nice symbolism there. Plus, great as the CCC is, the
PP tagging along their international conference onto their event isn't<=
br>
doing many favours to either the CCC (which gets disrupted) or to the
PP (where it ends up playing second fiddle)

Also, something else to remember - there are parties outside of Europe
as well. Belgium is slightly more accessable (and cheaper) than
Berlin, from the US, Canada, and South America (nowhere is accessible
from Australia, sorry, but CrocodileDundeeistan is too far away...
Why Brussel? why not Geneva?

Or if you talc with the CCC perhaps we can do things like that paralell
or
before/after the 26th Chaos Communication Congress. It's in december in=

Berlin.
Think about that
=A0 =A0 Hi:

=A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 From PIRATA (Spanish pirate party) are too agree t=
o set a
date for a meeting
in Brussels, theoretically. Personally, it suits to me really fine in a
accomodation way of talking. PIRATA are also agree to =A0settle some basic<=
br>
pillars and common points of view regarding who (the PPI movement) are
(aregointobe )we, where we heading for, and which are the goals in a
short
or
medium term. Apart this, we would like to know or clarifify about the
meaning
of " PPI key members contacted for". May be are "de facto&qu=
ot; elegible key
members stablished ?

=A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 Someone mentioned too that if required, some trans=
lations
could be made
apart to the English or French lenguages. PIRATA can manage this task,
also,
and add the Spanish as another option/lenguage to be read or used for.
