so this is actually something i talked about in brussels recently (like,
within the past 48 hours or so)

A FTA has been agreed on between the EU and South Korea which holds ACTA
provisions. My take on this is:

-The ACTA negotiations have been going on for 2 years and still they're not
concluded: in other international fora where IPRs have been discussed, that
long a standstill has usually meant there will never be an agreement, and
that the negotiations are moved to other fora (first WIPO, then WTO, then
WIPO again, the World Customs Organisation, then ACTA and now FTA:s)
-FTA:s are "the next forum": that is, now that ACTA parties seem not to
agree, the EU has chosen to progress with the negotiations bilaterally
rather than multilaterally, meaning

We really need to check EU bilateral trade negotations with all known
parties of the ACTA negotiations.

You'll find here http://bilaterals.org/?lang=en a list in the left margin on
EU bilateral trade negotations, and perhaps we need to start checking with
DG trade and the council of ministers to see what available documentation
there is for these summaries.

Sounds like a plan?
