To make things short: We didn't make into the parliament :(

But in the bright side: We got 2.0% of the vote, 842246 people voted for the German Pirate Party, making it the 6th largest political party in Germany based on votes! (CDU and CSU is running together for the elections as "CDU/CSU Union", making it one party, effectively)

The party managed to grew about tenfold since the elections for the european parliament in june this year, it has now over 9500 pirates, making it the 7th largest party in germany, based on member count.

The election campaign's highlights were reverse graffiti tags, as well as 'Pirate Lights', a 2000W projector shooting the Pirate emblem on houses, industrial structures, and even the sky! (Check out http://landpirat.de for pictures)

We received a lot of media attention, the "Piratenpartei" should be now know to almost everybody in germany.

This was our first run at federal level. Based on how fast this party grows in both members and votes, I believe the pirates will be an important coalition member at federal and state level in the near future.
