The end user wants a tool that fits HIS needs, not the needs of the
marketing department of some corporation. Free software is usually
written by people with specific needs that gather communities of people
with the same needs/interests.
The difference is between people who know that there's an alternative to
the "junk software" of the McDonalds of software and people who eat
"soft-burgers" because they are not aware of the existence of anything
else or because it's the first thing they met.
