My understanding is that he didn't organise. At least not according to
the documentation, which shows 90% of the organisational work done
before the proposal ever went to the PPI (see
http://int.piratenpartei.de/Conference-offers#Offers). If Gregory was
involved with that, well, he never made that clear in the proposals.

Trolling is just saying things to inflame and for no other purpose.
Pointing out valid criticisms is not, and should never be considered,
trolling. Those that do consider it such, generally have something to
hide. Gregory made (unfoudned) accusations, they were not supported by
the evidence, which I pointed out. I then counterpointed that there have
been many behavoural oddities in the actions of PPI, and in Gregories
conduct, and again, backed them with evidence. If exposing (with
evidence) impropriety, is 'trolling', then perhaps we'd better make sure
that dupicity, and other underhanded actions are acceptable behavior.

Ah yes, because the one thing an international organisation that exists
to promote communication between parties dedicated to openness and
transparency in government can't do, is be open and transparent in it's
communications to it's members about it's actions. This sort of thing
was exactly what they were elected to do, and they've not done it, again
looking to take the easiest way out possible.

Also, part of my problem is I have problems understanding what they ARE
saying at times - mumble isn't just a piece of software....

I did think about Atlanta, it was my first choice for the winter 08/09
conference (http://wiki.piraattipuolue.fi/Helsinki_conference where *I*
chose the location). I rejected it because most pirates were (and
undoubtedly still are) unwilling to deal with, and subject themselves
to, US immigration/border control, and thus I asked the Finn's if they
could host.. Organising and running the event myself is not an issue (as
I've said already, I used to organise events a lot, mainly 800-900
people ones, running 2-3 tracks at once), the fact that very few wish to
travel to this country IS.

Too late there too.
