That's what I intend to do.

In the lnog term i see lots of MeowCat installations. Some on public
web servers. Some on people's personal PCs, some on local servers such
as Freedom Box.

Local servers will store private MeowCat messages. They will
communicate with each other using public-key encryption.

MeowCat's software will be published under an open source license.
