    Maybe take more buses and use your bike.

    Hemp plastic (or some other biodegradable plastic) help remove carbon from
    the atmosphere and reduce waste, also detach plastics from the oil market.

    Durable products, avoid extra packaging, reduce consumerism.

    Use local products to avoid transportation (yummy bananas from the other side
    of the planet)

In a market economy, personal choices like these have little effect on
total consumption.  These measures are not going to prevent global
heating disaster -- government action is necessary.  The Pirate
Parties should advocate a solution that really solves the problem.

Fortunately, there is no need to destroy capitalism.  It is, however,
necessary to knock it back somewhat.
