Maybe both. The main thing is even different: they know now that there are
pirats in Belgium:)

Global warming is a fact, Spanish desertified/arid zones have doubled, from 25 to 50% in 20 years, and if you get UN to agree with greenpeace in anything, that is because there is already too much evidence.

Skeptics about man-driven global warming exist in internet forums and mailing lists. Scientists agree in a 99%. There's more believers in creationism.

Salut!Gijs Overvliet <govervliet at gmail.com> escribi?:Dear Richard,

The whole global warming thing is at least dubious. Temperatures in Europe have been higher than they are now, and there are still humans living here. "this imminent threat to civilization's survival" might be overstating things a bit...

I suggest that we stick to our core issues.

2012/7/22 Richard Stallman <rms at gnu.org>
http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/global-warmings-terrifying-new-math-20120719?print=true

says that we are on track to burn enough CO2 to cause 2 degrees of
global heating in just 16 years. ?It also reports that 2 degrees may
be too much to be safe.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/jul/22/arctic-ice-melting-oil-drilling

reports on positive feedback in the Arctic that causes even more
global heating.

I suggest that the Pirate Parties strongly address this imminent
threat to civilization's survival, in addition to the issues that were
their original concern.

+1 Gijs

I don't think we should step into green parties territory.
