[pp.int.general] R: Liquid Feedback in Italian Primetime Tv Show

Hi Hugo,

In fact it is linked to a TV show (Servizio Pubblico) rather than a TV
channel.

What does it do:

My personal aim was to bring the concept of liquid democracy to masses and
create curiosity about the Italian and Swiss Pirate Party (I was and I am an
activist but I had to resign for obvious conflicts of interest).

The Tv show objective is to be on a very interesting topic here in Italy
thanks to Beppe Grillo and his Movimento 5 Stelle, a political movement that
is reaching 20% of national votes and has the direct democracy in its top
topics.

What people vote for:

Everything. And then Giulia Innocenzi (the “face” of the show and
responsible with me of the project) bring the proposals that come out from
the Liquid Feedback platform to the political Italian leaders.

Here you can see an example: She’s going to Pierluigi Bersani and she says
“Hi Mr. Bersani, Here we have some proposals from Liquid Feedback, what do
you think about it?”:

Best,

Carlito

Hi Carlito,

I'm hugo from France,

I'd like to have a bit more info about your project, i understand that it is
linked to a TV channel but could you expand a little bit more on that?

What does it do? what do people vote for?

regards

hugo

Ahoy!

Just to inform you that I just started a huge project involving liquid
democracy at its best in Italy.

We installed a Liquid Feedback instance integrated in the main Italian
information TV show “Servizio Pubblico” and it’s having a massive media
attention.

13% of total tv audience for the first night (3 000 000 people!!!) have been
“impollinated” with the Pirate fluid.

I called this experiment “Partito Liquido” (“Liquid Party” = irony on the
fact that a TV show is doing politics).

It’s becoming a kind of popular game and we actually have more than 8 000
people activated on the platform and it’s growing at 1500 people per week.

Please feel free to contact me for more info and/or details about this
initiative.

NB: I resigned from all my Party activity for clear interest conflicts but
I’m sure this will give a boost to the Pirate movement and I wanted to share
this fantastic news with you.

Best,

Carlito
