    copyright, maybe this is the occasion for the media and public to finally
    understand it.

"Intellectual property" is a way of saying "patents or copyrights or
trade secrets or trademarks or IC mask monopolies or plant variety
patents or drug experiment result usage monopolies or appelations
controllées or publicity rights or various other things."
Since this is a hodge-podge of unrelated laws, it is usually the wrong
term for any real purpose.

Thus, "the difference between copyright and intellectual property" is
comparable to, "the difference between bread and foods that start with
b, h or m".
