Indeed, and thanks for the kind words earlier Francisco.
We are Pirates. _Political_ Pirates. By more than one definition, we
are not trolls. Rather, we are more like troll fighters... in
Copyrights, Patents and in the halls of our respective governing
bodies.
I respect a great many Pirates and don't want to see anyone banned.
It'd be far more productive for those responsible to understand the
consequences of what they're doing and saying.
@Zbigniew - this thread is my experiment: I've made my feelings and
intentions known. I'll not hit the button today, but I'm still
worried. If things don't improve, I will be unsubscribing.
I recently met Cory Doctorow during his Homeland tour and saw the
emotion when he spoke about Aaron Swartz. I listened to him speak
about finding those things in our lives that cause distress & despair.
I'm incredibly busy, as I'm sure many Pirates are. I'm not going to
continue wasting my time on childish posts and all the negativity. To
see it here - where we're supposed to be leading an international wave
of new, open politics - well it hurts. It hurts because I truly
believe we can do this if we apply ourselves and stop the in-fighting.
I'm Political Pirate and that's not going to change - regardless of my
membership in this list.
Here's to Hope,
- Scott
