I am here copying an open letter we are planning (this is just a
draft). I am sending it here because I think it could be a great
example of where PPI could make a difference. If such a letter was
from "The Pirate Movement" and signed by the pirate parties from all
over the world - this would have a completely new weight for the
media.

DRAFT

We, Polish Pirate Party believe in peaceful and democratic resolution
of political differences and call the government of the Republic of
Turkey to stop the violent reaction of police forces against the mass
demonstrations in the streets of Istanbul and other cities and start
the dialog with the protesters.

We also believe in freedom of expression and that the new
bi-directional internet communication tools can be used to great
benefit
of societies and to democratize the public discourse. We call the
government of the Republic of Turkey to use these tools instead of
condemning them as the 'worst menace to society'.
