[pp.int.general] Is the open-sourced LiveCode open source enough?

Sorry if this is not the place to discuss such questions. If you find the
issue too narrow, too far away or too parrochial for the list we can
dismiss it even-handedly.

And the question is: What do you think of the Open sourced version of
LiveCode? (
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1755283828/open-source-edition-of-livecode/posts).
If they live to the hype, this could be a turn of enormous significance for
the code-alphabetisation of millions everywhere.
