[pp.int.general] European Pirates' logo

Dear Jelena,
I think it would be probably more useful to the designer/design company
that we advertised a link to its web site, and not a site made by us which
links to their website... too many steps.
We could for instance include the name of the designer/company and a link
to his/her/its web page in the same post were we announce the winner logo.
If all the parties do that on their official Facebook/Twitter accounts,
that's already quite a share of visibility. :)
I'm not sure what you mean by setting a deadline no longer than 2 weeks. If
you mean the deadline to present a logo and corporate identity, that has
already been set (you can read it in the regulations) for the 31st of
December.
Anyway, I think that you're being too optimistic, two weeks is the minimum
time that we would need to make the designers aware of the call, and only
being very effective. Besides, it's not only the logo, there is also the
corporate identity manual and so on. I think that the 31st of December is
already rather short notice, if you want high quality proposals. Specially
if you expect designers to do that on top of their daily job.
I believe that what you say about the logo being available for remixing and
that designs must be inspired on the PIRATES ideas should be already in the
regulation. Did you check? Please let me know if you can't see it because
it would be of course important.
Greetings,
Muriel
