Your article is written in a wandering style that is very hard to
read. It digresses through all sorts of secondary issues before it
gets to the point. I suggest you put the main point first and the
caveats after.
Sine I don't object to present-day forms of welfare as "socialist",
I don't see a need to look to justify a basic income on the grounds
that it avoids being "socialist".
