Each party chooses which are its core issues, and how to deal with non-core issues ... in the national scope.<br><br
style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Pirate Manifesto is aimed to reflect what we all do have in common</span>, so core issues in Pirate Manifesto's current draft doesn't mean that each pirate party must have those core issues and only those core issues and exactly that way, but that:<br><br>- when working together, <span style="font-weight: bold;">in the international scope</span>, <span style="font-weight: bold;">acting jointly as PPI, those will be our core issues</span><br>- we follow the <span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">no issues outside non-core issues</span><span style="font-weight: bold;"> </span>as a policy <span style="font-weight: bold;">for our joint international efforts</span><br><br>Specially after all the controversy arisen during the last days, concerning non-core issues, what if a current pirate party wants to more or less expand its core issues, at the national scope? Hey, at its free will
-each pirate party is sovereign for its domestic affairs; as long as they don't counter Pirate Manifesto's core issues (e.g., looking current draft, as long as they don't defend to expand lifespan of commercial author's rights, or encouraging tortures), such things are up to each pirate party-.<br><br>However, when working here, at PPI, in the international scope, as each one of us have different core issues, we have to stick to our common goals; also, newcomer pirate parties, to become part of the group, should fulfill at least Pirate Manifesto's core issues -and after that, as long as they don't counter those PPI core issues, they can add at their national scope as many core issues as they want-. I'll give an example: we in <span style="font-weight: bold;">PIRATA defend that public offices must use
FLOSS, </span>however, it's <span style="font-weight: bold;">not written in Pirate Manifesto</span> -because we all weren't able to agree on that; we all ceded in some issues (we, e.g., in that one, among others), as the draft is not meant to be yours, or mine, but ours-; <span style="font-weight: bold;">would we be
infringing Pirate Manifesto? <span style="text-decoration: underline;">No</span>, simply it's <span style="text-decoration: underline;">not part of our joint PPI
goals</span> anymore -<span style="text-decoration: underline;">but part of PIRATA's goals</span>-</span>.<br><br>Thus, to conclude this mail: the "<span style="font-style: italic;">about non-core issues</span>" is totally compatible with your national set of core issues.
