First of all, I have to say that I'm very disappointed because of only
four representatives (including me) attending last thursday, and only
two attending yesterday; I specially missed Amelia (or a replacement)
and Jens (or a replacement), as theirs are the two biggest pirate
parties. Actually, it's pretty hard -almost impossible- to debate
anything when there is almost nobody to debate with.

After this, and considering what Glenn, Anton, Ole and me debated on
last thursday:

- we agreed on Second Draft having to remain unchanged, to respect the
ballots
- we agreed to manage an alternative draft, to give the pirate parties
the chance of choosing a different text -considering the conflictive
issues-
- we were unable to agree on the Stallman's Amendment issue
-Ole argued that author's rights are no human rights, and me argued
that <a

ESC stated the opposite in 2005-; however Anton and me were able to
merge Options Two & Three from 1st ballot
- we were unable to agree on the personal or social condition or
circumstances issue -Ole preferred Option Two from 7th ballot,
while I preferred the wording from Second Draft (though, as Anton
recommended, with severe grammar improvement for the first paragraph)-

As most representatives didn't attend, and those who attended were
unable to agree in two important issues ... while being able to agree
on everything else; and as it's essential to have the Manifesto ready
for Helsinki, I'm willing to make the three
drafts proposal:

- Draft A would be Second Draft, unchanged
- Draft B would be Second Draft, plus the modification from 6th ballot,
plus Stallman's Amendment, plus 7th ballot's Option Two
- Draft C would be Second Draft, plus the modification from 6th ballot,
plus 1st ballot's Options Two & Three merged, plus a rewording of
Second Draft's About Civil Rights and Liberties section -preserving its
meaning-

As Anton suggested, I would recommend Ole & Jens to reword 7th
ballot's Option Two in order to make it more grammatically suitable.
But don't take too much time to do it, e.g. -if you agree- until next
4th of January, 2009-. There is no deadline to sign the Pirate
Manifesto -thus, allowing new pirate parties to sign it-; however, we
agreed in july that it's essential to have it ready for the Helsinki
Conference, so we would need enough time to allow pirate parties to
decide which draft would they sign -2-3 weeks may be a good period-.
That's the reason for me suggesting Ole & Jens to have Draft B
ready before 4th of January; also, from now until then, pirate parties
would be able to arrange their internal ballots to decide which draft
to sign -or to decline to sign any of those three-.

I hope that most of us agree on the same draft; otherwise, this would
be a failure, a pitiable failure considering that apparently we only
have disagreed in two issues while agreeing in the rest of issues. To
avoid such failure, I ask all pirate parties representatives to hold
intense debate representing their parties -each one should contact the
rest via e-mail, and use IM (MSN Messenger, Pidgin, Google Talk, etc)
to keep in touch-.

Hope that all representatives properly report their parties, to make
them be able to debate on the final drafts and sign one of them.
Regards,
