After the Helsinki Conference, I got clear that the idea of PPI -as a
real structure of mutual cooperation in a frequent basis- is not
accepted, at least at this moment -and probably neither in the middle
term, as in 2010 & 2011 you'll have your national elections, and
expressed your will to devote 100 % of your resources to your national
scope and 0 % to PPI-.<br>

I still see the benefits of working together in PPI, an example
thinking in EU Election would be releasing joint press releases on <i>Telecom
Package</i>, 50-to-95, etc; people like Christian Engström and Rick
Falkvinge said something like "<i>I'm
interested in one thing and just in one thing: votes; if you get me
votes, I listen to you, if not, I prefer to talk about something else</i>"
.... well, I still think that there can't be anything better for
campaigning -and, thus, getting more votes- than our mutual cooperation.<br>

However, as I see which is the current situation -Andrew Norton asked
for help in order to release a joint press release about the 50-to-95
issue, with no success-, I prefer to not carry a workload higher than
expectable from a still tiny party like PIRATA, compared with others
like Piratpartiet; this, together with the Manifesto story, makes me
decide to dedicate all my <i>pirate</i> time to PIRATA -no matter
whether it is higher or lower-, what means
resigning as PIRATA international spokesperson.<br>

This decision was already on my head several weeks ago, though didn't
find a proper nexus or context to announce it; however, after finding
the shocking Rick's mail, about doing or not doing things within this
list, now I know that I can't feel comfortable in a list where people
who <b>ignore</b> core issues of such importance (like commercial
author's rights term extension) uses to criticize lack of interaction
and reporting of others within this list; specially shocking when
people from Piratpartiet didn't commented in this list the begin of the
enforcement of the anti-P2P Swedish law<br>

I agree with the opportunity of having French folks reporting on HADOPI
news; however, Rick is the last person entitled to make any sort of
complain about that, and only will be entitled to after making his duty
on reporting on Swedish news.<br>

I'll keep in touch with all those folks with whom I have had contact
-Anton, Andrew, Blazej, etc- and with all those parties with which I
have had former cooperation -Pirate Party US, Piraattipuolue, Partia
Piratow, etc-. I don't know who will replace me in these international
duties, as the current PPI scenario is not quite inviting; whenever we
get a substitute for me, that substitute will report it in this list.
Me I'm going to quit this list -I'll still be able to read mails in the
web page-, in order to fully focus in PIRATA's domestic issues. Regards,<br>
