Indeed a nice article about PP, well worth the time to read it through!

On Mon, Aug 31, 2009 at 11:00 PM, Thomas Nybergh <thomas@nybergh.net> wrote:
in Finland (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hufvudstadsbladet )
published a pretty well thought out editorial on the pirate movement
and Piraattipuolue, the Finnish party.
Those of you who don't read Swedish may be interested in Google's
almost coherent translation:
http://translate.google.com/translate?prev=hp&js=y&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hbl.fi%2Ftext%2Fledare%2F2009%2F8%2F31%2Fd31383.php&sl=sv&tl=en

The name of the movement is pointed out as being odd, but the writer (
http://erkki.wordpress.com ; http://twitter.com/andelins in Swedish)
does seem to have accepted the the pirate parties' favorite concerns
as legitimate in the context of the overwhelming growth of technology
in everybody's daily lives. The Information Society vs. imaginary
property struggle is also compared to earlier ideologies and previous
conditions that caused interest for change.

The writer, Jan-Erik Andelin was previously the editor in chief of Ny
Tid, a Finnish, Swedish-language and left leaning magazine covering
general interest topics. Imho http://www.nytid.fi is a bookmark worthy
source of interesting stuff for Swedish readers. No rss, though :(
