Multinational institutions and treaties are abused to torpedo<br>
cornerstones of a stable society. Their aim is to deviously push<br>
through illicit measures of collection, retention and exchange of<br>
intimate information on every citizen. The international pirate<br>
armada keeps close watch on the information treasure of those<br>
who matter.<br>

The recent introduction of internet censorship laws by German<br>
politicians - laws that were opposed by a hundred thousands of<br>
citizens and uncountable experts - left people with the feeling that<br>
they are not represented by the established parties. This recent<br>
success in the parliamentary elections show that a lot of German<br>
voters welcome the pirate movement as a solution to this situation.<br>
<br>
Pirate parties worldwide are joining forces to break the ice<br>
of perfidy and clear the way for a sustainable future. Our best<br>
wishes go to all German pirates in that they succeed to challenge<br>
our politics even more in the upcoming years.<br>

According to preliminary results published by the elections<br>
administrator, the Pirate Party Germany attained 2.0% or 845,904 votes<br>
during the federal elections on September 27, 2009. This result is<br>
especially remarkable as between admission and election only 73 days<br>
passed.<br>
<br>
The pirates were particularly successful among male first-time voters:<br>
13% voted for them as per projections of Infratest dimap.<br>
<br>
At the same time Schleswig-Holstein held state elections where the<br>
Pirate Party obtained 1.8% or 28,740 of the votes.<br>
