Hi Enrique,<div><br></div><div>I know that Engström's yes to the telecom package is under debate even in Sweden so perhaps it would have been better if he had at least abstained the vote, but EU works in mysterious ways and you now have EU telecoms chief Viviane Reding warning Spain of implementing a 3-strikes law (HADOPI lookalike) based on the wording "Effective and timely judicial review is as much guaranteed as a prior, fair and impartial procedure, the presumption of innocence and the right to privacy.", a consequence of the compromise that Engström lobbied for:</div>
<div><br></div><div><a href="http://euobserver.com/9/29041">http://euobserver.com/9/29041</a></div><div><br></div><div>I think we need to further evaluate the effects of the compromise that Engström voted for before we start criticizing him without actually understanding how EU works.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Please note that Swedish MEP's are representing Swedish PirateParty voters in the European Parliament so these are the ones they formally must formally explain how they voted for and listen to, but despite this official limitation Engstörm have a English blog with contact information available:</div>

Specially and specifically to the part regarding that any kind of <span style="font-style:italic">court</span> would block internet access and restrict other civic rights and liberties. For example, here in Spain, this is only possible if a real judge from a real court gives green light to it, e.g., to seize publications, to wiretap communications and to make home registers.
