Hi,

As I said the Wiki is a temporary solution. We are planning a new website with this feature. We will announce our taskforces next week with all the necessary information.

Of course we need people to do it so great thanks to Sven who is taking the initiative!

Greetings,
Jerry

On Wed, May 26, 2010 at 8:59 PM, Sven Clement <sven.clement@gmail.com> wrote:

What would such a system need? We need to store Events partitioned into categories. An event has to have a name, a description an address and perhaps a country.

Anything else? If not I will try to come up with something tomorrow afternoon or is somebody else willing to code this little project? We could call it "piratecal" and I think the developer would get kudos from all over the world ;) If you are willing to help out, contact me personally please!

I know it's in the wiki, I proposed to have a calendar where all
international dates that concern pirates are noted.

That's exaclty what is already in our Wiki: http://int.piratenpartei.de/Main_Page

I know Wiki is not the perfect solution, but it will take some time to
get a new PPI website. Until then we will use the wiki for such
content, when the website is ready we should be able to have a calendar
there!
it make sense to have also elections in that calendar... or b
etter yet, to keep the calendars seperate (one for events, one for
elections... at a later stage possibly also split into official party
gatherings and unofficial meetings and workshops)? Is there an open
source software that can do something like this? (Like google calendar,
but without google, if you get my drift)
