I think you do not see it from the media point of view, the news offices are utterly frustrated that there is no real person in Wikileaks or Anonymous to ask since that is there traditional method to work. They will therefore look for any credible source such as PP to ask and I they could mention that Wesley is a source from PP rather then from Wikileaks or Anonymous. There is a risk to take when you express opinions in public and I am sure that Wesley is aware of this, but the press that PPNL gets when they say something is probably worth it considering how hard it is for PP's to be seen through old style media. I think it's worth the risks to be visible in the media..

But the point is that if you appear as a "spokesperson" at all,
anywhere, on bahalf of Wikileaks - you immediately become a target.
Internationally.
I would definetly not take that kind of initiative on bahalf on some
other person. That is a question of personal integrity (one of our
core values) and for the same reason we don't publish or make
available the names of our members or any other person.
If Wikileaks spokes-persons needs to talk to media, I'm 100% sure they
will be able to do that. In this case its media who has the urge to
fish for a scope.
