Re-read my messages please, I never said there is no global warming going on, on the contrary, we argued here on whether it was really man made or natural, like it could be assumed as the other planets in our solar system get warmer as well. And I never said 4°C in Switzerland is the proof that there is no global warming :) Learn to read before insinuating others are ignorant. Thanks, C

And greeetings from the state of Georgia, which has had it's hottest
winter, March, and April on record. Your point?

The fact that you're pointing to a localised low-point means you clearly
have no clue about complex system interaction. I mean if we were going
to look at things as simply as you seem to think, then the UK should be
colder than Switzerland, because it's further north. Except the UK is an
island, so it's surrounded by water, which modifies the climate. Ok, so
how about coastal Alaska, which is as north as the UK, and also
surrounded by water - it should be the same temp as the UK right? Well,
no. Alaska gets the arctic stream (cold water going south from the pole)
while the UK gets the gulf stream (warm water from the the gulf of Mexico)

See, I've been following weather system interactions for about 10 years.
Ever since my potential exposure to hurricanes went from none, to
significant. In a chaotic system like this, it's not going to have a
steady upward trend, with an easy to follow and understand cause and
effect chain. A complex chaotic system like this is actually going to be
more changable, and swing further from the norms. So this year was the
warmest winter on record, but LAST year we had snow twice (unheard of)
and it left half of georgia paralyzed for a week (and me and a friend
spend 6 hours clearing stuck motorists at a busy junction where every
exit is uphill)

But to say 'it's cold here, so clearly 'warming isn't happening' - is
the most basic form of sheer ignorance. Even my 8yo knows better than to
come out with a statement like that.
