By the way...a pity that Argentina is not in Europe ;) I do hope that with the creation of Europeans Pirates, PPI would be less Europe centered and look forward for our argentinians friends take a more preemintent role into it.

"Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time." (from a House of Commons speech on Nov. 11, 1947) . Winston Churchill

Almost some 70 years since this quote things are not getting better, and surely getting worst.

As Eduardo Robles and I agreed in another debate, and we don't agree on much usually, tools won't make democracy work better. So the question about if LQFB is a good or bad tool is senseless.

All the things we have been discussing here depends only of ONE thing...the Human Factor.

And up till know, except for our friends of PPAr, I couldn't find anyone reasonably addressing the question.

One day I was surprised by one reasonment made by a Florida OWS activist, Zoe Alif, that participates in the Pirate Party admins group on FB.

What if PIRATE movement is wrong?

Not on the ideals we defend...but for entering politics.

Her reflection was that by entering into it PIRATES have forgotten about their social role of educating people about our values.

If we had remained apart of it, there wouldn't be any infights about gaining power inside the movement or political discourse that would have diverted us for the main goal EDUCATE.

She said we would have a lot more influence on politics as a social movement because of our "political neutrality" by spreading our ideals to the citizenry and have individuals entering political movement to hack them from the inside.

I know you will tell me that we entered politics just do that from the inside of actual institutions...but what if we had gone a bridge too far(reference to the Arnheim battle)...wouldn't the first step be to hack actual political parties from the inside by spreading our ideals into them.

I leave you with that reflection that by entering politics "a bridge too far" the political discourse has tampered our ideals.

Have a good day.
Francisco
