Dear Rick,
if possible, could you please get me in contact with swedisch NGOs
dealing with this topic?
We, this is the german AK Vorrat (Working group on data retention),
the organisations bundled in EDRi (http://www.edri.org) and a ad-hoc-
working group of NGOs (for example FFII, EFF, EDRi...), founded on
the 24c3 at a workshop I invited to, are looking forward for building
a common NGO-platform, for exchange and aggregate information about
EU-legislations etc.
FFor this, we need getting informations and an overview of the actual
debate in the several states on topics like privacy, IPR, civil
rights - in english ;-)
Actually this is a bit off-topic on a parties mailinglist, because
the working groups are party-independant, but... well, as an example,
I wear different hats: several NGO-hats, a political party-hat and so
on.
This request is from the guy with the NGO-hat. ;-)
And this request aims at other states than Sweden, too! So, if you,
dear fellow pirates from all over the world, know NGO dealing with
(pirate-alike) topics in your states or if your are organized in an
NGO yourself, please get in contact with me to get into our circle of
NGOs.
A follow-up-meeting will be held at the FOSDEM on 22 and 24 January
in Brussels
And before you ask: yes, party-work and NGO-work are complementary.
Regards,
Ricardo Cristof Remmert-Fontes
