Translation of our press release:

Were we alarmed because of Bono Amendment, as it allows restriction of freedom of speech and information withouta prior ruling by the judicial authorities, when we found that Ignasi Guardans (ALDE) opposes such amendment. ¿Good? Awful: he opposes because he finds it too soft -we have verified the authenticity of Guardans' mail-.

According to Guardans, fufill the Article 20 Section 5 of Spanish Constitution means falling “under a
government by Judges” -Guardans only cares about laws not being fulfilled, thus, only when it disturbs him-, and proposes a new law that allow governments -and competent authorities(only he knows which ones is talking about)- to restrict freedom of speech without a prior ruling by the judicial authorities, being according to Guardans just "in certain cases, to suspend acts” a posteriori. Mr. Guardans, what you suggest did already exist, it was Francoist 1966's Press Lawand was revoked because of being anticonstitutional. Guardans neither saves offences nor defamation against Tampoco escatima insultos ni difamaciones against opponents of Torpedo Amendments, comparing us with "fundamentalists" and with "business lobbies".

But Guardans is not the only one. French MEP Toubon -from PPE-DE, and perpetrator of 132th Amendment which explicitly allows intervention of RMOs and others, as well as formulas like Olivennes Agreement- would have said that requesting judges to authorize restrictions to freedom of speech -something that doesn't really does Bono Amendmentbut Article 20 Section 5 of Spanish Constitution- “prevent effective sanctions against pedopornography online in the name of the freedom of expression and information“. Can be understood that Toubon accuses Spanish Constitution of cooperating with pedopornography, by preventing effective sanctions against it?

These people -Bono, Guardans, Toubon, Trautmann, Harbour et al- reflect the majority of who represent us in Europarliament; it's needed to say it today, and will be needed to remind it in less than nine months. Regards.

P.D.: Voting is this morning

Very shocking reactions from MEPs when they feel their goals are threatened by public objections. Regards,
