IMHO the german JuLis [3] are afraid of the votes of the young voters
and/or the first-time-voters (this has at first less to do with the
FDP). They see, that they loose the young just like the other parties in
Germany... if and when the process with the german pirates continues
this way.

The second point is IMHO, that the "grass-roots" of the JuLis know very
good, that the FDP is an turn-over-party (in german: Umfallerpartei) in
terms of civil rights. This is IMHO an ongoing conflict since years
between the JuLis and their mother-party FDP.

I can say this, because I was an JuLi. And because I am more
sozial-liberal than the FDP... I am a pirate now...
