[pp.int.general] where is the manifesto?

The "fun" was because TRIPS was pressed through by the US in order to force
other countries (presently over 160 member states) to strengthen their "IP"
laws up to US standards, and then the Americans themselves were blamed not
    to properly observe the rules.

If this strikes you as an ironic twist, you have not grasped the full
depths of the evil plan. When the US government supports such treaties,
the purpose is not simply to impose US laws on other countries,
or even to impose on other countries laws favorable to the US.
Rather it is to make all countries (including the US) adopt worse laws.
These treaties (along with other kinds of deregulation) established
the empire of the megacorporations which we must now overthrow.
The governments that agreed to it were, in effect, already bought,
and that includes the US government.
