[pp.int.general] Some parting thoughts

I, for one, find the concept of 'piracy' when talking about digital content
and information to be an outdated carryover from a previous age that refuses
to die.  There is no such thing as piracy, only misunderstanding about what
content rights are and what access control means.  Where the law does not
recognize this truth, well, there is a law that needs changing.
I'm a simple man though, so I may be oversimplifying.

I don't see "piracy" though, I see volunteers assisting in a new form of
promotion and content distribution.  This ad-hoc infrastructure is the
groundwork for content creators to use during experiments in new innovative
ways to monetize and popularize what they create.  The use of "piracy" in
these cases of being this kind of volunteer is often just an attempt to
describe something new with an old word, a word picked out by individuals
who do not have innovation or the future (nonexistant; yet) of cultures in
mind.

I'm for decriminalization across the board of all forms of information
dispersal.  Even the 'bad ones'.
