Fine, Boris,

Although we are in danger of getting >too german<,
I´d like to repeat some german history in the
wikileaks-context.

Until the late 90ies of the last century, the
german magazine DER SPIEGEL was still involved
in investigative journalism. In the 60ies DER
SPIEGEL and his founder Rudolf Augstein got into
deep trouble as >traitors<, because the SPIEGEL
published, that MoD Strauss risked Germanys`
safety and the lives of the soldiers, buying
trash tanks for enourmous money und probably
some sums of bakshish.

As we know, Augstein got out of jail and Strauss
had to step back. Assange is not in jail by now.

An elimentary fact had been, that DER SPIEGEL
always delivered his informations for a counter-
statement of organized criminality first.
As I see it, Assange is mainly accused for
giving the DoD no chance to prepare its defence.

Now it may be cowardish-smart to discuss three
opportunities:
1) You could be signalizing sympathy with the
whistleblowers and upheated activists. With the
next statement, you may be pointing to some
legal considerations......ironically.
2) Do nothing. Didn´t hear of it, don´t know someone.
3) Condemning something.

Very important: You can´t be forced to choose 1) or 3)
as long as 2) is available.

At last, there´s something left.
You, Boris, as a selfdeclared grandpa, may have a
grandson, freshly equipped with uniform and gun, or
still entitled to use the rest of the freedom of speech.
I fear, it would be up to you, taking the decision to
oppose to incompetent universal-generals or inhuman
institutions, or support the mentioned forces.

It´s always a question of conscience.
Grandpa or guerilla................

Best
Stefan
