This is an interesting project and is worth pursuing. I don't remember
who started the thread but we should open another list for this so we
don't spam those who are not interested.

This is way oversimplified. Arianespace is a private company,
and only 32.53% of its shares belongs to the french CNES
(a state agency), 9.9% belongs to french Safran (basically
also the french state), 15.81% belongs to EADS
(on which the France holds 5.5%). So, if we sum everything
up, we'll get 58.25 % of shares on which France has a direct
or indirect influence. This is far from being "100%-controlled"

There are at least three privatly owend and operated Mission Control
Centers
(MCC) - one in Newtown, Pennsylvania, US (Lokheed Martin)
one in Palo Alto, California, US (Loral), and one in El Segundo,
California (Boeing)
