Hi Jerry,
If I write an article about Brazilian lawsuit siege to Internet you publish too?
We have a severe situation here. In october is the legislative elections in Brazil and the legislative is running several law projects to control internet: Proposes to regulates logs and the responsability of ISPs, avoid anonimity on blogs, criminalization of common pratices on the Internet (implementing genebra's cybercrime convention), proposes to avoid consumer's rights on the internet to only benefit banks and more legislation bullshit on pedophilia.
* PL 89/2003: Implement genebra's cybercimes convention, criminalization of common pratices like digitalization of music, obligatory logs on servers and ISPs, etc. (to be approved soon)
* Ministery of justice "Marco civil" law project: Regulates logs on web servers and ISPs and the responsability of ISP, avoid net neutrality, facilitates supperssion and censorship of content on web, avoid the right to judgment and justice, etc (to be approved soon as a government alternative to the last one)
* PL 7131/2010: Forbid any kind of anonimity on the web and imposes the registration of blogs and forum-related sites, the responsability to blogger for anonimous content (comments) in their blogs.
* And other minor pieces of legislation.
I will outline the article and I'll send to you the link, if you allow me.
Best regards,
Rodrigo Pereira

Hello Christian,
If you prepare a press release or article we can publish it on the PPI website and sent the link via. twitter/mailinglists. We can also try to help you find people that help write the article; if you can give me a link to a pad or page where you prepare the article or an e-mail adress I'll sent it over twitter!
Best regards,
Jerry

Dear Amelia,
Only now I remembered about EDRi, but is never to late.
The developments were as follows:
11 August 2010
Member of Senate (uper chamber of Romanian Parliament), Ms Lia Olguta Vasilescu announces a proposed law to cenasor "obscene" comments on blogs and news sites. PP Romania comented only on own website and the Facebook page. The general public opinion was one of revolt.

The same member of Senate, this time with another one and 4 more members of Deputies Chamber, organise a "public consultation" with specialy elected guests and announce a step back from a law to a Code for Conduit in Internet, which will not be a law but will still be compulsory. PP Romania wrote one article and an open letter, sent it to all those involved and publish it on own website and Facebook. Others are also having the same opinion.
