On the other discussions I agree with Rok. Accessability > Idealism. I also
hope there's an easy free option possible but if it comes down to
developing a new complicated solution to make it a free software option
requiring a lot of technical installation/fixes the average user can't
handle it won't help the cause. Using free software might in some cases
alienate more people because of technical complexities to get it going than
it will help. It's the message that's important not the tools used in this
case.

Just a quick note. Videostreaming puts a high demand on bandwidth which
should be fine if planned for. Problem is that the conference takes place
during several hours and some people need to travel from/to work or similar
which might mean they will not have access to high bandwidth during this
full time. Making a low quality option, like streaming only the audio,
available makes people able to follow the conference via 3g on their phone
or similar even when on a move. I've missed many important and good
conferences due to not having a low bandwidth option available whilst
moving around.

Thus I hope you will make a low bandwidth option available with the bare
necessities to follow the conference for people on the move or with bad
connections.

Thanks for your work trying to fix this!
/Josef
