I would tend to agree with you.

Hopefully, in most cases if not all, software that is not free also
violates a lot of human rights (I think for example to Microsoft
Internet Explorer, who had a Ben Ali Tunisia authority in its list of
"trusted" certificate issuers, and therefore eased Ben Ali's forces
spying of citizens). In such cases, we do not have to make a choice.

Even if from time to time we come to a point where we have to chose
between free software liberties and other important human rights,
nothing prevents us to defend each and every one of them when they are
not in conflict.
