Agreed — a bid for 2014 or 2015 would be interesting though, right
under the noses of the MAFIAA. The California Pirate Party would also
be a good candidate in my opinion later down the track. Though as
others have said, holding such an event in the United States might be
precarious.

Australia does not plan on offering to host it in 2013 due to
elections in August and short time. Brazil or Canada look like viable
options. New Zealand is unlikely to make an offer, for similar reasons
to Australia.

Separating PPEU from PPI is very important. The distinction between
meetings for Pirates in Europe, and meetings for Pirates around the
world is a good step. I would expect further down the track for there
to be Pacific Pirate Party meetings and Asia-Pacific Pirate Party
meetings, specifically for parties in those regions. The Europe vs the
rest of the world debate simply should not exist. Global conferences
for PPI, European conferences for European Pirates.
