non-secret ballots are a problem, too. even when every voter checks his
or her vote, the sum of votes has not been verified. Votes may be added.
A non-secret ballot means that the organization publishes who voted how.
Given that information, the results can be completely verified.
However, as has already been stated, non-secret ballots are no good
for state elections, because voters could be intimidated, could sell
their votes, etc.
