[pp.int.general] Don't roast our planet

I'm no expert in the field, but I have strong feeling that we as a species
are so overestimating our influence that it is surreal.
The amount of human CO2 emissions has been calculated, and
subtracting the part that has gone into plants and the sea,
the result accords with the measured increase in CO2 level.
And this accords with the observed heating.
Opposing that you have a vague feeling that "We just couldn't have
an effect at the scale of the Earth."
Should we risk disaster, for humans and half or more of the species on
Earth, by ignoring the specialists and going by your "strong feeling"
instead?
