Well there is now at least a statement of the German Pirates:

could be worse, however it's mostly blabla and not really explaining 
anything, besides it was not possible to do it "Creatvie commons" or 
"fair use" (the only thing Julia was able to negotiate was that the 
first warning does not cost anything) --- I am deeply disappointed by 
the reaction, it basically says: we don't care what the critics are 
saying, and they don't even comment on the DMCA.

I cannot see how the press can be good if the press basically says 
pirates are liars, and pirates are corruptible, and pirates getting 
profit from the laws they actually fight against...

Of course you can still download it, but that's not the point.

The quality of the book itself is not the matter at hand, even though 
the critics basically destroyed the book - I haven't read it, and I do 
not plan to read it.
