I did attempt to try and cover that last year

Ugh, less said about that the better. As a group we seem to have a
collective meltdown when it comes to international conferences. This
year we were so busy piddling about on trivial junk and being ignorant
of the rules of the event, that a lot of stuff that was REQUIRED to be
done, wasn't, and what was done was done REALLY badly. Likewise that
declaration was well intentioned, but a complete disaster in terms of
transparency and accountability and a failure of the process.

Bleh. This has turned into endless bureaucracy, and what's starting to
move into mob-rule. Often Ends up becoming a means to rubber-stamp
emotive issues, rather than a fact-driven investigative leadership
process.

I have a feeling it'll be a fad, and will be abandoned as unsuccessful
within 5 years.
