Congress of the Pirates in Aarau. We hope to meet you at the 22nd until
24th of February 2013 in Aarau.

About the keynote speakers:

*Richard Stallman* launched the development of the GNU operating
system in 1984 and main authored of the famous GPL free software
license (freedom to use, copy, redistribution and change). The
GNU/Linux system, basically the GNU operating system with Linux added,
is used on tens of millions of computers today. Stallman has received
the ACM Grace Hopper Award, a MacArthur Foundation fellowship, the
Electronic Frontier Foundation's Pioneer Award, and the Takeda Award
for Social/Economic Betterment, as well as several honorary
doctorates.

*Birgitta Jónsdóttir* is chairwoman of the Icelandic Píratar Party and
member of the Icelandic parliament. She was elected in April 2009 on
behalf of "The Movement" aiming for democratic reform beyond party
politics of left and right. Birgitta has been an activist and a
spokesperson for various groups, such as Wikileaks, Saving Iceland and
Friends of Tibet in Iceland. She acts as a spokeswoman for the IMMI
(Icelandic Modern Media Initiative).

*Gerd Leonhard* is a well-known Futurist, author and influential
Keynote Speaker. He serves as Visiting Professor at the Fundação Dom
Cabral (São Paulo, Brazil). Gerd’s background is in music and the
music business; he won Berklee College’s ‘Quincy Jones Award’ and
spent 10 years working as a professional guitar player, composer and
producer. He then became a digital media entrepreneur, serving as CEO
with several Internet startups, based in San Francisco, for 7 years.
