[pp.int.general] PP-EE campaign for European Parliament started

I am happy to announce that today Estonian Pirate Party started European
Parliament election campaign for an independent candidate Silver Meikar [1]
who supports pirate program and has agreed to include a pirate advisor as a
member of his staff if elected. First stage of the campaign is to gather
1775 euros in donations that is needed to pay registration fee for the
candidate and do it during 24h. [2] Silver Meikar has promised that if he
will get the money before tomorrow 15 GMT+3 he will register officially as
a candidate.

You can of course support him and Estonian Pirates, if you are an European
citizen, since that is allowed by Estonian regulation (remember to provide
your ID code and note "donation from a pirate" in the explanation and
transfer to BIC/SWIFT: LHVBEE22 Account: EE187700771001304490, Receiver:
Silver Meikar). You can also donate after 24h is passed, then we will just
use the money for the campain expenses.

Another point is that we use the crowdfunding campaign also as sort of
protest against high registration fee (it's 1775 euros per candidate, also
if you present a list of candidates).

We could use information about registration fees or other burdensome
requirements for candidates to neighboring and EU countries for making a
meaningful comparison in our public statements. I'd be grateful if you sent
me this information.
