Hrm... it deleted my part about fighting.

Fighting means that the aggressors feel threatened by the control that
those they fight against have. It means that when they fight us, there is a
perception that they are weakened, and it's only by weakening us that they
can feel secure in their positions. And that's really the simplest way I
can put it.
