Had a bit of a debate about this exact issue, the problems being, as you
said, that the crusade has shifted focus from sparing children indecent
treatment to banning indecent or "wrong" thoughts outright.
The problem with trying to push this agenda is that you risk becoming
the pedo party you spoke of, and get to spend all your time answering
nonsense questions from nutjobs about whether you support the mutilation
of children or not.
You are right, censorship should be fought no matter the nature of the
suppressed material, but I very much doubt making child pornography into
a pirate issue will further our cause any :)
This should be addressed in general terms; it should always be clear
that we oppose ALL forms of censorship, and that yes, this also includes
that of swastikas and childpornography.
