    1. Because the present manifesto's start from a legal perspective by putting 
    human rights first

This is not a legal perspective, it is an ethical one.

I explained just a couple of days ago how most people think of human
rights as an ethical issue.  When you treat it as a legal issue, you
are changing the subject.

    2. Because the purpose of politics eventually is to make (or improve) law.

But that doesn't mean people should give up because (some or many)
lawyers are against them, or because (some or many) lawyers say it is
difficult.
